Being a new nursing mother inspired our
inventor.
They say that necessity is the
mother of invention. It so happens that being a new
mother inspired Kathryn Gavitt to invent BraMates bra liners.
As a new nursing mother in 1991 the size of Kathryn's breasts inc
reased,
as did the amount of uncomfortable breast sweat. That's when she
decided to develope a product that would not only help herself
feel more comfortable
and confident, but also help
all women to keep their breasts healthy and dry.
An active woman
makes a product for active women.
Kathryn Gavitt is active. She
is involved with various women's organizations, has a
career, manufactures BraMates, and helps to raise her five
children (Oldest 19, youngest 5). She is constantly on the
go. She wears her BraMates and uses them for all
occasions; in the gym, on the rare nights out with her husband
and working around the house or on the couple's farm. She believes in
and stands behind her product.
Patents and
prototypes.
In
early 1996 Kathryn went to work. Her original patents and
her prototypes were manufactured that year. Since that time
she has made numerous variations. She continually
experiments with new materials, shapes and sewing techniques to
provide the best and most effective bra liner that money can buy.
