Want a Smart Baby? Breastfeed!!
Researchers for Oxford University discovered that breastfed babies turn into smart kids. As little as four weeks of breastfeeding has a significant effect on brain development according to the research. We already know that breastfeeding has a big impact on the overall development of a baby. Now we know that children who were breastfed have IQ’s that are between three and five points higher than formula fed babies.
Breastfed babies in the research were matched with similar formula fed babies. Test scores in math, reading and writing were recorded when the children reached five, seven, 11 and 14 years. There was a significant statistical difference in scores between the formula fed and breastfed children.
